Some Suggestions To Improve Stealth Ai

So........stealth.

That thing everybody wants to do, but the game doesn't support all that good.

Basically, unless you've got an Ash, Loki or Banshee and a Shade you probably don't have much chance at killing more than a couple enemies unless you're going to an extremely low level area where you can one-shot everything, and even then it is ridiculously difficult to do.

So here's a few suggestions:

Instead of "Detected" and "Not Detected", how about we add another stage: Alerted. It would work like this:

A). Idle: The enemies don't know you are there, and have no reason to be suspicious. They slowly wander around, or patrolling, or chatting on the radio. They are not likely to see you if you are crouched unless you are in direct line of sight with a limit on range. Seeing someone die near them puts them in Alerted status. Further Enemies will not spawn while they are in this state. Hearing gunfire (but not seeing the Tenno) will also put them in Alerted status. Idle Status will be restored after some time passes, perhaps 60-90 seconds.

B). Alerted: The enemies ready their weapons, and are looking around more, and are running around the room looking for intruders. They are more likely to see you, especially if you are moving, and can see you from further away. Due to them running around the room, they are more likely to come across you too. Seeing someone die nearby instantly causes the Detected status for the enemy who witnessed it.

C). Detected: The enemy that sees you directly, or sees an enemy die beside him while Alerted will Detect you. This enemy attempts to make a beeline for the closest command console to alert the whole ship. If you can kill him before he does so, the ship's status reverts to Idle, and any enemies in that room go back to Alerted. If there are no more enemies in the room, then you're in the clear once more.

After you're detected:

If you kill everything in a room, and are able to make it to a command console, with no enemies (or Cameras!) nearby, you should be able to hack the command console. This would be a hard cipher (8 octagons, maybe). If you succeed, you can place the ship in Idle status again, tricking the security system (thereby tricking the Grineer/Corpus) into thinking the Tenno threat has been dealt with.
