What If...? (Lore Discussion)

Sorry, I should clarify:

My point when saying a Tenno is a physical being is that they are likely just a nervous system (brain + spinal cord) or their bodies have been altered to appear unrecognizable as human.  This means that the Warframe has to work as a body as well for the Tenno, since it is plausible that the Tenno cannot move on their own.

This would allow to the Warframe to bleed (due to "Infested Flesh," the plastids, being a component) and the Tenno also require life support.  The Warframe being more akin to a surrogate body than a suit of armor would mean that not having air is a problem for the Warframe, but not necessarily the Tenno.  Alternatively, the Tenno do require oxygen on their own and the Warframe doubles as life support.

Falls afoul of Vor's line "ripped Tenno corpses from their metal womb" becoming messy story-stuff. Any time you decide that "Tenno" is notably different from a standard human you create the plot hole of "All those who have experimented on Tenno would have mentioned the differences at least in passing"

I mean Vor says "Nothing to explain..." you'd think that might be "Nothing save their decrepit flesh" or "Nothing to explain their power even allowing for their lack of flesh" or even "Nothing to explain their power except their infected flesh" at least something if there was something odd in there, but we get nothing making Tenno-body-looking-odd a sin-by-omission from a story perspective.

Hence I think they look like standard humans, perhaps a little messy when forcibly removed from a Warframe (Possibly Alad-V's "Eyeless freaks" line), but nothing unexpected.

As for the OP, it's already known lore wise that the Tenno were originally humans that went into the Void. The trips there apparently killed most of the people that tried it and the ones that came back were "twisted" and the Orokin made them into the Tenno. It's in the Excalibur Prime's lore entry.

Unfortunately for the devs, their modeling on the original Valkyr model doesn't support that very well. If you look at the inside of the helmet post corpus skin, it would literally have to conform to the skull, without flesh, in order for a head to fit in the helmet. So their own design conflicts and no one is going to buy that there's a body in there with that kind of glaring issue staring them in the face.

Lol, people used to say the same about Corpus Crewman before we could shoot their helmets off.

Lol at acting like the frames are to scale of a regular size body, even our Kubrow warp in proportions within the game. Though by even going into relay and comparing to NPCs right when you arrive, you clearly have larger proportions than them, females in particular, though Valkyr even towers over the males. Not that it matters if Post Corpus valkyr's head is too small for an actual head to be inside of, she was tampered with, though they could also just posit the Guyver method to fit the frame.
