History Of Time, If We Cut All The Overwhelming Zeroes

2 days ago, I watched "History of future and everything - Time" by Kruzgesagt (awesome channel, you should sub to it), it spans from now to 14 billions years ago. Then I thought, what if I cut all the zeroes and make it short. The result was overwhelmingly... short and feels like it was just yesterday human evolution happened.

 

I think I'm still miscalculating some of it. Feel free to point out the mistakes. Anyway, here it is.

 

14 years ago, universe was born.

 

4 years ago, our solar system was born. A year later, proto-earth was born. It wasn't really nice place to live though.

 

3 and half years ago, first microbial life appeared.

 

6 months ago, multi-cellular organisms appeared. Fishes started to roam the ocean, but lands are still empty. Eventually, weaker species took refugees on land. Some right out died, some survive and evolved.

 

3 months ago, after series of mass extinction, finally dinosaur ruled the earth.

 

6 days ago, dinosaurs extinction. Contrary to popular beliefs, the meteor didn't cause the extinction. Dinosaurs were constantly extinct and evolved by many causes. But the meteorite or asteroid in Mexico really sealed their fate.

 

Yesterday, the last ancestors of hominids and monkeys split. Humanity appeared.

 

12 hours ago, homo sapiens walk the earth. Homo neanderthals died. There were a time they interacted with each other though, maybe even to the point they're mating and live together in form of clans.

 

6 hours ago, agricultural revolution. First step of human dominance on this planet. Also, time when people with same ideology gathered and build kingdoms. Most notably Sumeria, Ancient Persia, Ancient Egypt.

 

5 hours ago, first pyramid built.

 

An hour ago, Fall of Rome. Europe goes to Dark ages. Islam founded and spread all across Middle East. Hindu-Buddha kingdom spread all over South East Asia.

 

40 minutes ago, First Crusade war launched.

 

37 minutes ago, 9th Crusade war ended.

 

30 minutes ago, black death spread across Europe. It killed third Europe population at that time.

 

28 minutes ago, Fall of Constantinople. Middle ages era comes to an end.

 

27 minutes ago, Europe renaissance era. Also, 15th century. A century of people hop on their ship and try to find one piece new worlds.

 

26 minutes ago, Many European kingdoms launched exploration to Asia, America, and Africa. Last Hindu-Buddha kingdoms in Indonesia collapse, Islam spread all across Indonesia and some South-East Asia region.

 

22 minutes ago, colonization era by Europe. Most notably, a British colony that now called United States of America.

 

20 minutes ago, British colony in America gain freedom from Britain, USA founded.

 

17 minutes ago French Revolution.

 

16 minutes ago, Industrial Revolution. James Watt invented Steam engine, human exploited the earth in mass scale for the first time. Mechanical and electrical inventions paved the way for today's technology.

 

15 minutes ago, American Civil War.

 

13 minutes ago, Japan open its border to western world. Dawn of modernization of Japan, Bakumatsu era closed with bloody civil war and Ushered Japan to Meiji era. Some of you knew this from Rurouni Kenshin manga and anime.

 

11 minutes ago, 20th century. A century of global conflicts. A century that was opened with war that shatters the old kingdoms and ushered the world to modern age, with its good and bad.

 

9 minutes ago, World War 1 happened. 2 minutes later, World War 2 happened. Casualties from both war, approximately 150 million lives. Most Asia and Africa colony under Europe gain independence after World War 2. After WW2. there were huge gap between kids and elderly, because the young are being sent to war constantly since WW1.

 

8 minutes ago, Cold War between Soviet and USA. 4 minutes later, Cold War ‘stopped’. In 4 minutes, many things happened, from Moon landing, JFK assassination, Russia invasion to Afghanistan, to the collapse of USSR. And Cold War almost blown into real war with nuclear threat several times. Although cold war already ended, the influences are not.

 

3 minutes ago, internet was booming for home usage with Dial-up 56k modem. China started to revolutionized its economy.

 

1.5 minutes ago, 21st century. Seconds later, 9/11 happened. 3 seconds later, US troops invade Afghanistan and Iraq for 1 minute. Older Social Media like friendster, MySpace, Flickr, digg gained peak popularity.

 

45 seconds ago, rise of smartphones and internet connection becomes the norm in urban area and big cities. The era of facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest, etc. With the rise of Social Media and its easy access, ideas and information are spread faster than ever before.

 

20 seconds ago, ISIS founded.

 

NOW. You... read this, I guess?

 

2 minutes in the future, possibly Mars colonization. Still a hypothesis and planning though, don't get your hopes too high.

 

5 months in the future, sun will expand, rendering earth inhabitable.

 

1 year in the future, sun will expand so big, it will eat planets up until Mars, and then slowly shrink into white dwarf dead star in 5 years.

How long human typically live in this scale? 6-9 minutes.

Oh god, the whole text on dark theme is unreadable unless you mark it. Next time OP please instead of using paste, try using command CTRL+SHIFT+V that way it will paste it only as a plain text without any font changes to size,style or color and it will get rid of the white marked boxes on dark theme in some cases.
