funny I was thinking of something similar. A ghost like frame that can turn matter into dark matter and vice-versa.

My english is awful, but I'll try my best lol

-Name: Zionu.

This frame would work have a gimmick; he would need to "absorb" enemies with one of his abilities... with the souls he absorbs, he would gain access to diferent variations of his other abilities or general buffs.

*Each Ability has 2 variations (one uses only energy, and the other uses souls + energy)

1) Blood Shard:
* by pressing the ability button once Zionu lauches sharp blood made crystals like if he were using a shotgun, this ability would deal damage, but also it would stun enemies and restore 15% of his total HP by each enemy hit. (The power has a radious of 15 mts and has punchthrough)
*By pressing the ability button twice Zionu throws a "blood crystal grenade" that has a radius of 7 meters and launches all the enemies within it's radius several meters into the air, dealing 3 times the damage of the 1st variation while dealing Viral proc. for 8 seconds. If you hit an enemy with the "grenade" (it falls like a grenade) that enemy will lose 30% of his total armor for 6 seconds. (it consumes 3 souls)

2)Dark cut:
*By pressing the ability button once Zionu will disappear > slash through a couple of enemies > reappear behind all of them at a really high speed (if the enemy dies with the ability, he will be cut on half. (this ability uses your melee mods)
*By holding the ability button Zionu will get his energy drained each 2.5 seconds + 3 souls and he will select his objectives with a crosshair (he can select 10 enemies in the first fase, in the final fase he will be able to select 30 enemies. When the enemies are selected you'll have to release the ability button and Zionu will slash them at the speed of light dealing high damage and reducing their armor by 30%.

3) Dark Dimension:
*This ability will work like a parry, it will last 0.6 seconds after you cast it (the cast will be extremely fast) but, if you get hit before casting it you won't be able to cast it for 2 seconds, if you cast it it will drain energy even if you don't parry incomiing attacks and if you get hit after castig it you will lose twice the energy, but you will be able to try casting it again.
With that said, when you cast this ability, Zionu casts a magic portal, if it gets hit by an enemy bullet it creates a singularity that follows zionu absorbing 100% of the incoming damage during 12 seconds. (the bullets should come from the front... the singularity will be always in front in you absorbing damage)
(*) If you cast blood shard while this ability is active Zionu will throw the singularity to an enemy and leave him exposed to finisher damage.
*if you hold the ability button Zionu will cast a poweful black hole in the palm of his hand dealing low damage (but this ability isn't about damage, it's the way he can get souls) so you should try absorbing really weak enemies or enemies that are exposed to finisher damage (that will get them absorbed in just a second)
4)Shadow form:
Zionu summons his Naginata (japanese spear) and enters in a type of exalted blade mode. But his play style is different...
Ziony doesn't throw light slash like exclaibur, his combos are a mixture between fast and powerful attacks with the Naginata and liquid blood based powers that can damage, stun or paralyze enemies. Also, his normal rolls will be replaced by short ranged itzals blinks like teleports (you won't need to aim where you want to go, it it's determined by the direction you are moving)
*Also, you can use all his other abilities during this mode.

Zionu would have to have the maximum amount of souls, use "Shadow Form" while in that form, Zionu must absorb just one 3 enemies (it would "overcharge" him for 3 seconds) during that period of time you will have to press his 1st ability button three times (this part of the ability will drain all your energy; the minimum amount of energy you must have in this part is 200 pts of energy)... by doing that Zionu will rip apart (instakilling) all the enemies around Zionu in a radius of 10 mts. (bosses won't get instakilled) >>>>
