[Spoiler] How Are Players Able To Attach Multiple Lenses

I've seen people attach 2 lenses, one on their warframe and one on their weapon. I have attached one on my weapon and when i go to attach on my warframe, it shows that there is already one attached, and adding another will destroy the other. What gives?

bug perhaps - try unequipping that weapon first?

even when unequipped it still tells me it's gonna destroy the other one.
