I am confused by all this focus stuff. So I unlock the node that gives the passive recover 1 energy per second for rest of mission. Is that only for teammates? Or do I need to actually put in a point for it the energy regen to work?

you will have to activate the ability in the ability tree first. after that you will need to go into the mission and wait until your focus bar fills up and activate it. your passives activate after the first use of the main ability. hope this helps.

well i do have the node unlock just haven't rank it up yet.

Its icon needs to be red. That means it's active. It also works just like energy siphon. That means it turns off when you're using a channeled ability.

Look toward the bottom of your menu whenever you are looking at your focus skill tree, whatever the button is to activate the node you are currently viewing needs to be pressed in order for the modifier to start working for ya.

For us on PS4 It's triangle I think, but yeah, same thing happened to me after farming. I was so confused why I wasn't able to use my phoenix down ability lol.

- be sure the skill is active as others said.  That is very counterintuitive when first getting into the focus stuff!

- be sure you actually used your #5 skill once ... it only starts giving power after using your tenno special power.

- be sure you are NOT using a skill that prevents power regen ... several frames have skills that disable power regen buffs (typically, skills that last for as long as you have power.... like ivara invisible...)

 

If you did all that, it should work.
