[Tsd Spoilers] Some Potential Directions The Story Can Go; Some Unanswered Questions.

Now that we all know what the Tenno are, we only have more questions.  It answered that first question, "what the Tenno are" quite well. But it left a lot of dangling threads that I can't wait for DE to go down!

I've thought over it a bit.  Here's some questions and directions the story can take, in no particular order.  Please comment on these and ask your own!  I'd love to discuss and theorycraft!

1. Will the Tenno eventually grow up?  Can we eventually build up our physical strength?
2. What are the Warframes?  What's inside them?
3. Do Tenno age?  Are we immortal?

4. Can warframes go feral?  Is that what happened with Chroma?
5. Why are the Sentients so violent?
6. Is it just Hunhow that's violent or are they all like that?
7. What does the Lotus actually look like?  What's her true form?

8. The Orokin, according to the Crewman Synthesis, had some sort of plan.  Some sort of endgame beyond just ruling humanity.  And from a certain line of dialogue in it, it seemed like they were trying to save themselves from something.  What was it?  What were (are?) the orokin up to?
9. Speaking of the Orokin..  The Void.  There is something more going on with it for sure.  They had some kind of connection or relationship to it.  What was that like?

10. The twin queens.  They're significant beyond the grineer, aren't they?
11.  The Orokin apparently had many "pet" projects.  The Grineer, The Sentient, Technocyte, even Tenno and Warframes.  What others are out there?
12. What makes the Stalker different from normal Tenno?  He's not on the moon is he?

1, 3 and 12: It seems like the Stalker is Tenno, but matured. Perhaps the Zariman Incident changed them, or the pods in which they were preserved slowed their growth.

2: Alad V says in TSD that "what's inside the Warframes makes no sense," hinting that there is more to it than just an automaton.

5, 9, and 11: I really hope this is something DE expands into in the future. Of course, it would take a long time, but surely an empire as powerful as the Orokin was not confined to one small backwater system. Although the seat of their empire was the Moon, the Tenno aboard the Zariman were coming through the Void from another system, suggesting that the Void exists as a higher spacial dimension of sorts, similar to hyperspace. Of course, hiding something as big as the Moon in a higher spacial dimension would probably require a huge amount of energy (my favorite quote of TSD: "You make a fine villain, Lotus!" -Alad V). The Sentients were probably exploration and terraforming drones sent out to help colonize worlds, but something drove them crazy (you don't send powerful sentient beings you created into the expanse of space without a huge amount of debugging and testing to make sure they don't turn on you or destroy a viable planet, or something like that). Maybe, at some point, we will get to expand out to other systems.

1. Will the Tenno eventually grow up?  Can we eventually build up our physical strength?

2. What are the Warframes?  What's inside them?

3. Do Tenno age?  Are we immortal?

1) For the first half...not a clue. Second half...in theory, though that really depends how many years of atrophy they'll be dealing with. Rehabilitation isn't a simple thing to do, let alone when you can't actually see a doctor due to risks for secret keeping.

2) Warframes are a metal/flesh body proxy, designed to bias a Tenno's raw power into specific, directed effects whilst linked via Transference. Whether they're 'alive' is still unclear, though there's evidence in the Rhino Prime Codex that at least originally, there was. Now...well...need more info.

3) Physically? Not a clue. Strictly speaking, their mental age should be...significant numbers past their body suggests. Immortality might be heavily caveated: it's possible the pods were designed to cause a form of suspended animation, after all.

4. Can warframes go feral?  Is that what happened with Chroma?

5. Why are the Sentients so violent?

6. Is it just Hunhow that's violent or are they all like that?

7. What does the Lotus actually look like?  What's her true form?

4) Dubious. Rhino Prime Codex, sure, current time? Doesn't seem likely...yet. As for Chroma...something else was controlling him, but we still don't know specifically what.

5) Considering the lore seems to imply that they were made purely so the Orokin could reap the fruit of their labour, through the construction of a Tau Ceti Solar rail? Between that, the fact the Orokin were just...horrifically abusive of anything they found 'beneath them'...can you really blame them? Life forms, engineered purely to be disposable...never ends well.

6) Hunhow wants Natah back, far as his personal motives go, let alone 'actually finishing what they'd started'. Selfish love is an ugly thing...I imagine other Sentients may have other motivations beyond 'reclaiming' her.

7) Not a clue.

8) Seemed to be they were dealing with overpopulation. Tau Ceti then was their effort to actually expand beyond Origin...though we know how well that turned out. At least, that's what we can deal with for now.

9) Void seemed to be their technology basis. Beyond that, some kind of religious symbol...could be argued that the Orokin Executors held more direct control on access to Void related tech or power...which the Tenno would end up subverting, which could be why they hated them so much.

10) Yes. For now, all we know is the stuff detailed by the Kuria.

11) Aside from genetic engineering of pretty much everything (Kubrow, Kavat, Skates, Lanx, Ceresean Butterfly Sparrow), they also had the Lorist caste which seem, again, designed for their role. Probably wise to put some ducats down on them having others.

12) Bit too soon to say anything especially concrete. Odds are though, unlikely he's on Luna...and if he was, that must have been an entertaining moment. I don't think Hunhow would be above pulling a 'I have your heart, Davey Jones' if that occurred.
