Deshiel he wasn't ever really a sith again just one of the most powerful force users, more of a rogue after that. it's interesting to note all the most powerful force users go between light/dark. which is something^ snoke is interested in despite leading Ben/Ren (Jacen/Darth Caedus is the better name honestly) closer to the dark.
