The Question Of "does Forma Give Mastery" And Finally Clearing It Up

Ok so... not sure why, but this question seems to still be in a gray area. Even someone such as my bf who's hit Mastery rank 19 and going on 20 thought forma'ing something would give Mastery. So, in an attempt to clear it up for anyone who doesn't know, I forma'd my Vulkar and then ran a test, leveling it on Cyath, since I find it really easy to level stuff there. So, here it is.(Sorry, when I uploaded the all the pictures to Imgur it didn't let me embed it so... ^^;)

 

Ok, so here's before the mission, level 0 Vulkar, and 0 Mastery.

And this also shows, Cyath is not a new node, so it doesn't give me mastery for running it. 

Now, I ran Cyath pretty quick, the Vulkar leveled up 6 times. http://i.imgur.com/GDwvhot.jpg

None gained, still needs 52,496. 

 

I hope this helps any new people, or just anyone in general, who aren't sure about it due to a lot of people saying it does and doesn't on the wiki and forums.

 

And to anyone thinking this is obvious and didn't need a post about it, you'd be surprised. ^^;

No. Lv up form item don't give you mastery.

If that gave exp. some players would already have like 30+ Master Rank;)

Ummm... this isn't a mystery, in fact, I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge at this point.

You could have just checked the wiki. Like everyone.

 

 

But still, a lot of people post questions on the forums that have been answered a long time ago... so, yeah. That's okay i guess. I still find it hard to believe that a mastery 19 player has problems with the forma mechanic, though.

I really don't want to have to quote myself, but once again, I've stated it's for new players, obviously not you. Sure it's been answered a lot but a quick google search of it can lead to conflicting information. Why do you hate someone so much for trying to help, jeez.
