Discovered Acolyte Locations

after running mania twice just now i had 2 acolytes set as discovered: angst and torment. i tried to get games going with either but only found broken lobbies. so i'm back to 3 unknown locations. what is happening here?

The Acolytes jump around pretty frequently.

 

As far as I can tell, once their position resets to 'unknown' all you can do is wait, and eventually a new location will pop up for them. It usually doesn't take long.

so that's random and not even related to succesfull "kills" or more phase one missions? ugh, oh well, thanks for the info.

It's not specifically time-based. Their position tends to change once it becomes "unknown", but it won't become known on its own afterward. It becomes known again when any Tenno encounters them by playing starchart missions and finding the correct node by pure dumb luck, which can be made more likely by replaying the Spy/Mobile Defense missions for a hint, such as "signal located on Mars", which doesn't specify an exact node. Not sure about that last part, but I think that's how it works.

 

If everyone simply waited, we'd never find them.
