Bow Class

Hi,

I am a relatively  new player, and I was wondering what the best mods were to purchase for my Cernos bow. I like to use the bows in annihilation matches(although they are very tough to use and I usually do very poorly placing like 6th haha) and I want to know if there are any mods that make the bow charge faster and do more damage, please comment them below.

Mods that increase fire rate reduce the charge time while mods that reduce reload time improve the speed you nock a new arrow.

There is also a mod for increasing the flight speed of your arrow. I don't play conclave, so I'm not sure which mods are available for use there.

In pvp i dont see many damage buffing mods to weapons, only conversion mods. That turn a percentage of your damage into another damage type

I dont think there are any damage buffing mods, only fire rate really. There are those modifiers that increase primary weapons I think and some warframes have self buffs but I dont think there are any specific damage buffing mods

There is the mod Soaring Strike (end of match reward), which increases fire rate (charge speed) for bows while the user is airborne.

 

The only mods that affect raw damage for most weapons are the conversion mods (from the Conclave Syndicate [talk to Teshin in a Relay]), which convert a portion of the base damage to another physical damage type (Impact, Puncture, Slash). I'd recommend the Puncture converter (Ripper Rounds) for Cernos, as that will allow it to deal some extra damage to unshielded enemies at the cost of dealing slightly less to shields.

 

Feathered Arrows (match reward) will increase the flight speed of your arrows, but it will decrease damage. It's hard to say if it's worth using, but I've never tried it personally.

 

There is also Twitch (also from the Syndicate), which increases weapon swap speed. It won't affect your damage output, but it helps a lot if you switch between weapons often.

 

If you do use your secondary much to finish people off, maybe try to get Plan B (match reward) as well. That increases the fire rate of your secondary weapon for a few seconds when you hit someone with your bow.

Note: That list also includes some currently removed mods, such as the %chance to restore health or shields. Also, bows can use all mods classified as bow or rifle mods, but they can't use assault rifle mods.
