Recording & Render Help

Hay Tenno, so I record Warframe videos but the most aggravating thing in the world is that the finished result doesn't come out as beautiful as my gameplay did. Its annoying and ALOT of Warframe Tubers have the same issue. I use Sony Vegas Pro 13 and Dxtory. I see Tactical Potato videos and his looks amazing!!! I want to know how to make my end product s beautiful as theirs. Please help me if you can.

maybe use OBS for recording and tho I don't use (and have never used) Vegas Pro, make sure you export in the right Codec/Format/Compression...

If you have an Nvidia graphics card I highly reccomend you use Shadowplay

1 - Record with something lossless (DXtory, FRAPS).  Shadowplay and OBS and such do lossy recording (MP4).

 

2 - Record at a really high resolution, 1080p at the least.  One trick that some youtubers do is actually to record higher so when Youtube downsamples it it's still better than normal.

 

3 - When you recompress for uploading, pay careful attention to the resolution/size/quality settings.
