Which Market Weapon Would You Recomend?

Question

In all topics "Best weapon" it fast ends with "Soma Prime" or something similary easy to get. But... farming prime weapons with Mk1 may be not the best aproach so I need something which is not mastery weapon, while being aware that somewhere in future there will be something better. Lets call it "first farming weapons to farm with".

So i was wondering which weapons from market blueprints are worth a try?

No clan weapons, nor syndicate weapons, and neither alert.

What would You recommend for each category: primary, secondary, melee. With some variance for specific faction or runs.

A lot comes to personal preference, but at least some weapons are worth a try, while others may be a trap or big question mark.

Primaries:

Rifles - Latron (Grineer), Soma (Any), Burston (Any)

Shotguns - Hek (Grineer), Tigris (Any)

Sniper Rifles - Vectis (Any)

Secondary:

Kunai (Grineer), Lex (Grineer), Ak/magnus (Corpus), Ak/vasto (Any)

Melee (Any faction, unless specified):

Destreza, Lacera, Galatine, Orthos

Edit: Since you are farming with MK1 weapons, I recommend getting the ff. weapons

- Strun @ 75k credits

- Lex @ 50k credits

Ignore maining melee weapons unless you like using them in general or have the aforementioned melee weapons.

The Karak is also a decent rifle, along with the Grakata.

Secondaries... honestly, just get the ones you can buy with credits first, like the Aklato and the Lex. That way you can build up mastery with them.

Melee comes down to style I suppose. Galantine, Orthos, Scindo and any of the one-handed/dual swords.

Primary - Tonkor.. for group clearing and generally wrecking all things ever. Secondary - (not from market but from clan tech) marelock.. this thing was my favourite from as soon as I got it MR 5 I believe. All the power of a primary in a secondary so a good weapon to use alongside the tonkor which is not really suited for single enemies and smaller groups.

I'll suggest weapons that are market only, are end-game viable, worth maxing out(spending catalyst and forma on) based on mastery:

MR1:

Primary -

Secondary - Spira

Melee -

MR2:

Primary -

Secondary - Sonicor, Stug

Melee - Tekko, Dual Zoren

MR3:

Primary -

Secondary -

Melee -

MR4:

Primary - Hek

Secondary -

Melee -

MR5:

Primary - Tonkor

Secondary -

Melee -

MR6:

Primary -

Secondary - Aksomati

Melee -

MR7:

Primary -

Secondary -

Melee - Destreza

Weapons without mastery rank:

Primary -

Secondary - Furis

Melee - Kogake

All the weapons suggested above are worth maxing out. If you want good weapons to start out with, that aren't that hard on resources, but might not be totally end-game viable, I suggest trying out what p3z1 suggested here

Thanks for all suggestion, the good thing is i have mr8 and at some point should have more.

The thing is that some weapons require rare resources like forma or neurodes, and cant yet casually build twin gratakas with a thought that will just master it and delete.

Weapons i have most fun with, however the are probably not best in any way:

Kohm - assault rifle using shotgun mods

Soma - does everything right

Akmagnus - good punch, low recoil, easy to use

Afuris - easy to use, puncture dmg

Destreza, Heat Dagger - for punching holes in greineer

Dual Heat Sword - spin to win and slam

Paris/Kunai - spy missions

Dual Zoren - fast, and dps seems right

Broken War - good dmg, not market but could be achieved in no grindy way

Dual Fang - i liked the dual dagger style

And there was several weapons which i found disappointing and at this moment would rather limit time spent to craft/master similar weapons:

- Dark Dagger - no matching stance, low range

-  Fraggor - to slow to time hits

- Drakgoon - in combat not enought time to charge shots

- Bronco - low magazine, and not enought dmg per shot

And there are weapons which was fine, but havent suit me at the time, but may give them a second time: Galatine, Grakata, Heat sword (and other swords), alex, tonkor, gammacor.

The amount of time someone mentions tonkor suggest that not all market weapons are for mastery/tier 1. There are always better weapons for 80% of content or most annoying enemies.
