Good Secondary Weapons To Use Catalyst On?

Currently I have a catalyst on my Soma and my secondaries do basically no damage since I haven't modded them properly. Whats a good secondary use to use catalyst on and whats a good build for it? (I have atomos, akvasto, and sonicor currently)

Vaykor Marelok is best "single" secondary, if you don't want to use too much resources for the other choices.

It have huge damage and decent crit (second only after Lex Prime), good status potential, big mag and fast reload, very useful AOE proc (health regen, armor buff, open up enemies for finishers). Also, it's hitscan with decent accuracy.

It's pretty universal, you just need to swap crit mods on additional elements for non-crit weapons.

 

There is also other good choices, like:

Lex Prime - pocket cannon with insane damage per shot.

Brakk - close combat beast with huge DPS.

Telos Akbolto - good damage and proc.

AkMagnus - cirt and status viable, good damage and accuracy, hitscan.

Synoid Gammacor - one of the strongest full-auto secondaries.

Kulstar - AOE damage and great CC.

Is the Synoid Gammacor similar to the atomos? I like the atomos but it doesn't look like it will scale well later. I'm interested in the vaykor marlock but i don't have primed pistol gambit or primed target cracker so I'm not sure if I should get it or not.
