Right now am seeing if melee weapons even need to be potato'ed for maximum damage. From what am seeing currently, its a no. As the stance mods gives a nice chunk of points. But it would be a lot more quicker if I did use a potato, but rank 10 mods like primed reach can be a bit of a problem.
