Client/Launcher keeps Failing

For the details what the hell did I do it's below. For my question here it is;

Why is my client/launcher keep failing when it finishes checking for new content?

So after the red text appears while im ingame, it says that there are updates is ready to be downloaded. I exit out of warframe and reopened and leave it to update. As I was leaving it alone for it to update, I open a tab in my internet browser to watch the dev stream. After a few mins in I was lagging to hell, so I figured I might as well cancel the update and do it after the stream. So I did that, and now after my client/launcher finishes checking for new content, it just says this:

Update failed!
Some content updates could not be downloaded from our servers.
Please restart Warframe to try again.

Which I did.. About a dozen times. I also restarted my router and computer, and still shows these messages for the past 4 hours me trying many times for it to just past the checking for new content stage. I would reinstall warframe entirely, but I would like to know first if there is already or not a solution to as of why this is happening. Is it because the amount of players also trying to update?

Server is probably overloaded, can't get on the game or website for the past 2-3 hours already. DE's hamsters are dead on the wheels.
