Lord_of_Lords
When I use my Corsair Void headset as the output device (from the in-game settings), I get huge frame drops and very corrupted audio streams. The game sounds like someone is using Skype on dial-up. My headset only supports 7.1 Surround and uses it's own audio card built into a USB dongle and it only supports the 8-channel, 16bit, 48000Hz encoding format. Computer Specs: AMD FX-9590 Eight Core Processor (4.70 GHz) - water cooled 16GB 2400 MHz Ram Nvidia 960 for graphics and Nvidia 760 for Physx Running the game in 1920x0180 with almost all graphic settings turned off (out of preference). I can record a video if it would help.
[DE]George
Thanks for the report, we are looking into this. A video would help if you can.
Lord_of_Lords
I forgot to mention that this is for Windows 10 64-bit. Video is below. I noticed that sometimes The Evolution Engine would crash to desktop but I wouldn't get a crash handler. I also noticed that when I switch from 7.1 to stereo the effect is immediate but when I go from stereo to 7.1 I have to restart the game for the changes to take effect. Here is the link for the video. It's currently being processed. http://sendvid.com/nm6xwsz5 I went ahead an removed my login screen from the video but the audio issues and stuttering start happening immediately when the background music starts (before logging in). EDIT: sendvid appears to be very slow so here is an alternate link: https://vid.me/SQ7E Edited March 6, 2016 by Lord_of_Lords
Lord_of_Lords
Confirmed fixed in 18.5.3 however it doesn't sound as good as the first few seconds of audio in 18.5.[12] (before it started lagging behind).
