Warframe stat lvl

When your warframe lvls up, does the associated stat upgrade take effect right then, or after the mission is complete? ie: do I have extra hp and such right when the message appears? Hope I was clear enough, but any answer is appreciated.

I know health, shields and power max take effect immediately, so its safe to assume an ability levelled up takes effect instantly as well.

This is mostly true.  The main difference if you level up an ability that is already running, like Rhino's Iron Skin or Frost's Snow Globe, in which case they will take effect with the new stats on the next casting.
