I cant synthesize an elite arid lancer for the New Strange Quest

I cant synthesize the Elite Arid Lancer with the trap given. When i tried the trial for the synthesizing, i used a trap and i was able to synthesize the blue bubbles. but on the Elite arid lancers,

the trap doesn't work and i cant synthesize them. I may think this is a bug.

You have to find one particular lancer that is glowing blue, he will automatically get tagged by a waypoint.
