System Crash Upon Terminating Internet Connection

Thrice now, Warframe has quit unexpectedly and taken my system along with it. A few minutes after disconnecting the internet, the game apparently renders my computer unresponsive as toggling caps lock results in no feedback from the keyboard.

I have been able to replicate the error by manually disconnecting during a game session and, after a few minutes, the game quits to the title screen (though sometimes it doesn't even get that far) and the computer stops responding. This is a major problem for me because my connection has been particularly unstable for the last few months, I'm looking to get that fixed.

I have no idea what may be causing this as I'm pretty sure it has happened before the update we got recently, but I could be wrong. I do know it's a recent issue, I've been playing the game for 2~3 weeks now and it used to not happen back when I first started.
