For me, I don't know why it happened, but the controller would just continously rumble at a really high intensity. Very distracting, very battery draining. The rumbling continued throughout the match until we left, then it stopped. I don't know what caused this to happen, but it's pretty annoying. I like to play with rumble on, but if this continues to happen, it would just feel weird to have it off just to not have this inconvenience. My brother says it happened to him after he was damaged. We both experienced it, his happened yesterday while mine happened just now. It seems to only affect hosts, as no one else in the party had this happen except for me, as well as for my brother.
