crits and status, need advice

ive got my build ready to go, but im trying to decide if i should replace spoiled strike with true steel. 

 

im just trying to see what will do the most damage. what will kill the target the fastest

Positives of true steel-

45% chance to red crit after 1.5x multiplier (5 hits) 

80% chance to red crit after 2x multiplier (25 hits)

More attack speed

Negatives of true steel- 

less proc damage

200 less slash damage and 100 less viral damage

Positives of Spoiled Strike-

12% chance to red crit after 2x multiplier (25 hits)

more proc damage (44% status chance)

200 more slash damage 100 more viral damage

Negatives of Spoiled Strike-

Less Attack Speed

only a 12% red crit chance after a good few 25 hits... and only 33% after 45 hits

 

so what should i use. i really just want to find the best build possible... thank you

Test both builds in the simulacrum and see what does better.

True Steel has never been worth using; the gain from it is too little to matter. You could make the argument that the chance to red crit is higher, but you'll be red-critting non-stop at a certain point anyway, with or without True Steel. For curiosity's sake, what is your build?

i tested it, and i kill a level 95 corrupted heavy gunner at an avrage of 31 hits. with true steel.

 

with spoiled strike it took an average of 41.

i did 10 tests with each build to get the verdict. but for the spoiled strike one, about 5 of the kills died in under 30, and the other half of the tests they died at over 45 hits. so thats why i got a lower avrage. here are my numbers.

so as you can see, spoiled strike isnt as good as true steel. from my tests at least. and the range is gigantic from spoiled strike
