Do excavation enemy numbers scale?

Question

I have noticed that enemy numbers will scale up or down according to how many players are playing on defense missions or else if i play solo it would be nigh impossible to do it alone.

I was wondering if the same goes for dark sector excavation missions (specifically Heiracon).

As far as I'm aware, enemy density scales based on the amount of players active in a mission. This has, however, been changed around a lot, mentioned very little by the dev team, and very difficult to test for based entirely on feel. 

As a general rule, you can say yes, but for specific instances, it is hard to determine.

I just finished two missions on Triton, one with a squad and one solo. Could definitely sense there were more baddies with the squad, even had to kill two bursas on my squad run, although we stayed a much longer time in my squad play. I really do think they scale enemy numbers, thank goodness.
