I know he was talking about changing how Fusion works etc but did he say anything about how transmuting would be better?

Transmutating is just a mod fusion with a random outcome. You can choose 4 mods and transmute them together to get an random mod. The outcome will change by rarity of the mods you chose for transmutation or by polarity fusion cores which will determine the outcoming mod's polarity. As for you OP. I can't really recall how much he mentioned, but I guess we will just have to wait and see. It should be easy to make some quality of life improvements to the current Transmutations.

Like if you transmute only Rifle mods, you would get a Rifle mod. If you transmute only Archwing mods, you get an Archwing mod.
