How Does Specter Use Simulor?

I've seen and actually made some Specters using Explosive Weapons with manual detonate feature, such as Penta or Castanas. But how about Simulor? It has basically two ways to use it; 1) Shoot and Detonate it, 2) Stack some Orbs for multiple AoE Damage. So, will Specter try to Detonate immediately like Penta or Castanas, or Stack some Orbs?

Both Variant of Simulor looks quite hard to get, but I think it would be quite useful for Specters since it can deal Electric Proc(when only detonated though) or Magnetic Proc and its base stat is good that it will scale well, so I'm gonna farm it if it's really good.

nope. you just get little vortices all over the place, periodically proccing as more shots go in.

specters treat it like any other weapon - they just keep shooting in the direction of the nearest enemy. It's quite effective.

then when they're using Simulor, they won't use manual detonate function at all?
