[Warframe Concept] Magus

Name: Magus

Theme: Archmage

Health: 70-170

Shield: 150-400

Armor: 30

Speed: 1.1

 

 

Abilities:

Bolt – (Energy 50, drain 3/s) Creates homing bolts of void energy, higher the skill level the more bolts created, if the key is held down the bolts are continuously fired and energy is steadily drained (60-200 damage per bolt)

Telekinesis – (Energy 75) Uses void energy to pick up objects, corpses, and even weakened enemies, when a non-affected enemy is in range the picked up objects are flung at them causing considerable damage and knockback, if no objects are around the enemy is hit with a telekinetic strike, dealing less damage, if held down the objects will orbit Magus and allies acting as a shield (100-300 per object) (50-200 for no objects, one hit)

Tear – (Energy N/A) Depletes Shield, adding 1/4 the amount depleted to energy, each use adds 1 Rip counter, if used with 4 Rip counters Magus becomes Unstable, Tear has no effect when Unstable

Void Blast – (Energy 150) Creates a massive blast of void energy, dealing incredible amounts of damage, blinds enemies in and around blast (1000-2000 damage) (30 second cooldown)

 

 

Passive: Void Scar – Energy orbs give an additional 15 energy, Magus cannot get overshield

 

Rip: Each Rip counter reduces max shields by 20% and reduces shield regeneration speed by 10%.

 

Unstable: Entering a form almost one with the void, increasing his speed and giving him great amounts of energy but steadily drains health, when health reaches 0 Magus dies with no bleed out

 

Short Lore: Through sacrifice one can obtain great power. Magus’ power comes from a dangerous defect, a small tear deep in the frame leading to the void. By utilizing this tear, Magus can control void energies like no other but at great cost to himself.

 

Appearance: Tight hood (not billowy like Ivara's), what looks like gloves and boots,and an open coat which doesn't go far beneath the waist.  Each Rip counter adds an glowing scar (color of the warframe's energy) to Magus, when he uses an ability or charging the scars will glow bright. When he becomes Unstable Magus’ body changes, the chains are gone and the hood rips away, Magus is completely glowing with a fire like aura of the energy color. 

 

A high risk high reward frame, a fragile nuke. He has extremely powerful abilities but all have a heavy cost. Telekinesis and Void Blast have high energy costs. Bolt’s continuous fire option can quickly drain Magus’ supply. Tear gives Magus a lot of energy but each use not only gives him less but also weakens him and leaves him momentarily defenseless. It also can only  be used ‘safely’ four times, a fifth use gives Magus a lot of power but only for a short time and also forces the player to use a revive to continue. Magus can circumvent the use of Tear by gathering energy orbs, which his passive makes better, but that means he has to get a lot of energy orbs to fight. His passive also prevents him from getting overshield, a possible way to overpower Magus.

 

 

Thoughts? I kinda feel in an attempt to balance him I nerfed him to much.

Wait, so basically due to his unstable form thingy, he will always die unless you happen to get lucky and have a bunch of people with rejuvenation. What;s the purpose of this frame if you have to rely on an aura to consistently stay alive? I would never play this frame just because of that.
