Melee Combat.. Am I Alone Here?

This seems to be the theme every game. Am I the only one who primarily uses a sword? :\

No. You are not the only one who primarily use melee weapons.

I normally use the dual Ether dagger and end up getting a kill count like that. That said, mine are modded to the T and I main Ash so that's really no surprise.

nope. i use melee as well unless i'm overwhelmed.

Depends on what I have. If I have Fragor or the Glaive I use melee only. When anything else, I mix it up between them and the kunai.

Naw, I tend to melee the sh*t out of everything I see regardless of whether it's a good idea or not.

I use them more than guns usually, unless I'm in a large open area against Grineer Corpus or Ancients.

I love putting Grineer on the wrong end of my melee weapons. The only times I don't melee much are when I'm falling behind, dealing with Toxic Ancients, or in a defense mission.

Cool, I'm really enjoying that playstyle, too. I think I want to focus on more speed to compliment the melee style also.

What happened is that they took melee and chopped its balls off with update 7 then never buffed it back to being on par with guns.

Seems most people here love their melee weapons, and I'll agree. I generally snipe until enemies are too close, then enjoy jump attacking for the knock down and melee until they're all dead.

 

Also, it never gets old tossing a smoke bomb on my ash and throwing downs tons of power attacks for crazy numbers. Not even the highest level heavies can take many power attacks from a stealthed ash or loki if they've got a decent weapon.

I use melee 95%. and i dont even have a potato on my melee weapon.

I mostly melee when playing ash. If you are doing ash the dual heat swords are still the best choice.  The charge attack damage is insane.

I mostly melee i love me some melee combat. But sadly after lvl 40 mobs melee gets to watered down and needs just constant charge atks so thats usually when i start shooting more. Melee is awesome but sadly lacking in the reg atk boost specially with weapons like the Orthos it's awesome to swing it around but doesn't do jack for reg dmg to anything but light infested.

My Gram has 2.5x the number of kills my Kunai had.

 

I even melee only t3 voids.
