He goes to them wary of traps and people. "Well I really need to upgrade my suit"

On Serema’s command the others converge as well.

Tirion is meditating on the floor in front of the datamass.

There is no cover between you and him. The moment you drop cloak there will be nowhere to hide.

Of all the things the Tenno was expecting, a salvo of mossiles from the middle of nowhere was not one of them. The Rhino goes down like a sack of bricks and doesn’t not get back up.

A spread of arrows arcs out the moment the datamass is lifted.

One strikes through your stomach, impaling you to the wall.

You can see a decryption window open in the corner of your HUD. The Ivara fires a sleep arrow intro the middle of your squad, disabling them. She decloaks And raises her bow, a gleaming arrow pointed at you.

”Any last words?” She asks.

Your HUD shows that decryption will take exactly twenty seconds.

"i used to be a adventurer  like you till i took a arrow to the stomach. " He says as he tries to find a shield device firing missles at her trying to get 20 seconds .  "hope it works". Dark thinks.

The Ivara pauses.

“That.” She says. “That is the last thing you say?”

She giggles, the chuckles, and then begins to laugh outrageously.

By the time she stops the clock has only nine seconds left.

The missiles refused to fire. It seems you have only two bursts.

Serena and the others begin to stir.

This time the missiles fire, throwing the Ivara back. She flips to her feet and fires, but it is too late. The transfer completed just as the arrow hits you. The pain vanished and you find yourself and the others standing in a forest.

”Simulation reset.” The Cephalon says. “Grineer Forest map selected.”

"Well this is gonna be interesting..." Dark says as he checks for helmet devices. "Maybe I should get to know the ivara." Dark thinks.

Helmet contains a codex scanner, a thermal visor, and comms.

One of your soldiers touches a leaf.

”Wow.” He says. “So lifelike.”

Serena scans the plant.

”Yup.” She says. “Poison Ivy. You are going to want to wash that gauntlet.”

Dark flies off wary off danger using thermal scans. "This will be difficult." Dark thinks.

The thermal visor seems to be a protective visor intended for high intensity light. It find your vision to the point where even the sun is barely visible.

Your troops sit back at the starting point, confused and awaiting orders.

“We shall see.” He says. “Hmmm, large void signature in this area, but no notable structures. Alana, any idea what is going on there?”

Alana checks the map.

”Oh those are the plaguelands.” She says. “Poisonous air, acid rain, not a pleasant place. Grineer learned to steer clear long ago, as did I. Without a frame I wouldn’t last long.”

”In other words, the perfect place to set up shop if you wish to be left alone.”

“Richard.” Marcus says. “Got someone on the line for ye. Claims it’s urgent.”

Felicity’s voice comes across the channel.

”Richard.” She says. “We need your help. Zaeed did a stupid.”

“Zaeed Zi’teer?” Alana asks. “Ballas’ lapdog? His loyal pet? The one who almost ruined the plan at Terminus? Why in the name of Oblivion are we helping him?”

“Because the Wraiths want him dead.” Felicity says.

”Oh, of course.” Alana says. “One of the deadliest and most bloodthirsty clan of assassins want someone dead, so why wouldn’t we oppose them?”

”We are going to protect him until he can stand trial.” Felicity says.

”Who are you to give us orders?” Alana demands.

”I am Felicity, wife of your Arbiter.” Felicity says. “I am heir of Mika, and Paragon of Silence.”

There is a snap as Tak’s grip shatters the Grineer gauntlet he is holding. The lights flicker and die.

”What?” He asks, his voice as sharp and deadly as a dagger. “Did. You. Just. Say.”

“Spread out.” Serena orders. “Fly low and keep an eye out.”

She flies up to join you.

”You are a Leader now.” She says. “Not a lone wolf. You can’t just run off and leave everyone behind.”

“23, operator” Cephalon Silo says in a droning monotone Voice.

”I have a headcount of 23! Heavy damage taken! I need access to an LZ now!”

“Understood Odrag One.” A voice says. “Raptor three-five And Raptor three-seven will provide escort to emergency LZ.”

A flight path to the ground appears on your HUD. It leads to a pad on the edge of the airfield.

Two raptor class proxies flunover to your ship, one on either side.

They are certainly Corpus in make, however they are not the new models advertised at their colonies. These models are the first production run, technically obsolete. It seems this colony has taken to purchasing outdated equipment to bolster its defenses.

The Raptors escort you down to the landing pad. The city before you is decked in gold and ivory. It looks like someone plucked an Orokin city from the past and place it here, on this remote planet.

The field crew at the landing pad is also wearing Corpus gear. The workers are all clad in the retired blue Elite Crewman suits, and each carry flux rifles. However none are wearing helmets and toubcan see that these are civilians, not Corpus.

”One thing at a time, Tak,” said Richard evenly.

”Now then.  Zaeed is by no means the most… well-liked individual in the system, but the last time I checked he is still a Tenno.  If we start treating people differently based on whether or not we like them, we’re no better than the Orokin were.

That being said, Felicity, what did he do THIS time?”  His voice turned to an easperated tone.

“Get them someplace safe and warm; They’ve been through too much.”

”Silo! Ship status?”

”Hull integrity at 67% sir”

A large engine falls and hits the landing pad with a violent bang

”Upon further review, 60%”

”Thanks Silo, your accuracy is perfect as always” Odrah says sarcastically

“What about the crash vault?” Odrah inquires

”Operator, there is no need to worry about the crash vault or its contents its cen-“

”-tralized position and thick armor plating prevent the contents from being blah blah blah just give me the status of it!”

“Vault integrity at 100% Sir”

Odrah breaths a sigh of relief

Tak is clearly not calm about this. He teacup he produces clatters against the plate below it.

“He tried to enlist the aid of the Acolytes to have Dirge, and Sam, killed. He provided information to them about the Wraiths movements. He purchased and then attempted to disclose what he believed to be sensitive information about a secure location.” She says. “In front of an ex intelligence officer who now hwas transcripts of these events. He referred to the atrocities committed by the Orokin as necessary and justified. He threatened to kill Dirge himself. Oh, and he hinted that he has allied himself with the Stalker in the past.”

”I’m waiting for the part that explains why we aren’t killing him ourselves.” Alana says.

“How about because he’s my friend.” Felicity says.

“I don’t know you.” Alana says. “All that tells me is that you have horrible choice in friends.”
