Mag abilities not working at all

I've recently started to play warframe with some of my friends and I picked the Mag class. We went into a game together and my friends who were playing Volt and Excalibur were able to use their first ability and then got their other abilities. However my abilities have never worked as mag, I'm level 12 now and when I click on my abilities nothing happens. I know its not my key bindings because it will highlight my abilities in the bottom right of my screen when I click them.

I don't know if I've made a silly mistake but if someone could help me to use my abilities that would be much appreciated <3

Maybe a silly question, but do you have energy to cast them?

so you are hitting key binds for the 1-4 slot and nothing is happening? or are you using the scroll on your mouse to select and trying to activate with a middle mouse button click?

Cause as far as I know the middle mouse button click doesn't work for that.

it is usually a alt fire or a secondary shot for a primary or secondary weapon.

if you can give a little more info I may be able to help more!

Options > Controls > Enable 'Use Abilities On Selection'. Thats my guess for your problem.
