Hooking an Afterglow Xbox 1 controller to Windows on Bootcamp

I use Bootcamp on my Mac to play Warframe. I believe it's a 2015 MacBook Pro, though since I'm not on the Mac side, I can't double check. Anyway, I got an Afterglow Xbox One controller, and I can't get it to hook up. It won't come on, no matter what buttons I press, and everything online is not helpful. The PDP site claimed that the proper drivers should be already installed, but even signing into the Xbox app didn't help. If anyone has any advice, that would be appreciated.

 

Oh for the love of...check your cord seating, people!

Did you look around for the drivers?

I use an Afterglow Xbox 360 controller and had to download proper drivers from Microsoft before my system recognized it was connected.

I'm on windows 10. The problem was that I hadn't seated the cord right. -facepalm-
