Corpus Cephalon Proxies (Spoilers)

(Warning: Spoilers ahead)

---

So with the recent Ordis lore reveal in the Specters of the Rail update, revealing that Cephalons most likely being mind uploads of unwilling people, I thought about Cephalon Simaris and the Corpus, the former for how he's been collecting specimens from across the Origin System for his Sanctuary and the latter for how they tend to favour autonomous/cheap labour. So I thought that all things considered, combining the two ideas into one with proxies based on mind uploads rather than pure dumb AI?

With Nef Anyo constantly creating new and improved Proxies (such as the Bursas and Razorbacks) to wreak havoc on the Origin System, it shows that the Corpus are continuously trying to expand and improve their robotic arsenal. Thus the idea of turning dissenting/rebelling colonists and even Grineer captives into emotionless, lobotomised machines may appeal to them. This could show just how ruthless and cruel the Corpus are, similar to their Orokin predecessors.

The 'Thralls' (actual name pending) would be humanoid in shape, so that they can interact with equipment like normal people thus in combat would be seen wielding tools/weapons (such as the Serro and Spectra, which would help bring them fully into the game). This would also help explain why the Crewmen walk around with actual weapons rather than tools, because they aren't the actual 'work force' but rather the overseers/security force (cheap work labour goes to the 'Thralls', while the more thought intensive tasks go to the indoctrinated crewmen as they can think somewhat independently).

Some ideas for 'Thralls'.

Spoiler

Cutter: A basic proxy armed with a Serro, these machines are often seen cutting and carving through objects such as shipwrecks, enemy doors and stone, and are used during construction and modification of Corpus vessels and structures when necessary. In combat they will rush towards their opponents with their polearms ready to bisect any foe in their path.

Welder: With Spectras in hand, these proxies are often either cutting or welding objects, sometimes even from a distance. When attacking they will stay in place, pivoting their torsos as they aim for better accuracy, only moving when necessary to hit their targets.

Sapper: Using Quantas, these proxies can be seen either mining out minerals and resources, digging through terrain for construction of creating breaches in enemy hulls, either through their precise primary lasers or their destructive secondary explosives. Due to its more intense purposes, Sappers are heavily armoured and shielded, more so than other variants.

Herder/Shepherd: The Corpus are no strangers to brutality, and by arming more heavy duty Thralls with Amprex's, they are able to effectively direct and 'herd' groups of colonists around by lowering the settings on their weapons so that they're no longer lethal, but still incredibly painful to experience.

Freezer (better name pending): Essentially glorified fire extinguishers, these proxies are sent out with Glaxions to put out any fires that erupt inside Corpus structures, in combat they reset their tools from emitting weaker conical waves to the usual intense beam of cold light.

Dozer: Equipped with Sonicors, these machines are deployed to blast apart rubble, terrain, bulkheads and even enemy squads, like the Herder and Sapper proxies, this variant is more powerful than the other versions.

What do you think? Does this sound like an interesting idea?

EDIT: After looking at the Cephalon Fragments properly, I noticed that the Pluto fragment would fit well with this, as it states that due to the harsh conditions, personnel are very scarce. By adding 'Thralls' however, the issues can be partially mitigated, as they would be much more capable than regular proxies at physical labour which would be required in a place like that for things like maintenance.

Also thought of of a quest idea, where the Lotus discovers that the Corpus are abducting a lot more colonists than usual, and asks you to investigate, where you discover that they have been sending their captives to newly created facilities to be converted into Cephalons, and it is up to you to free anyone you find and shut down enough facilities to send a message to the Board of Directors that such actions will not be profitable enough to deal with a mess like that, though the Grineer are still fair game.

Also, as Thralls would be more intelligent than regular proxies, they would be able to actually speak, if only in a basic, monotone way, to represent that despite being more intelligent/sapient than AI, they are still heavily suppressed.

(More info possibly on the way.)
