Random freezing and game crashes that only started yesterday.

I usually get 0 freezes or crashes or even DC's and I play the game at near max settings (I used to be able to play at max settings with really good fps, but recently, my frames have dropped) and I get 100+ fps. But only yesterday, I noticed that the game seemed to be randomly freezing but sounds and things in the game where still operational. (I had just equipped a hobbled dragon key). The freezing required me to actually alt-f4 out of the game to fix the bug because I couldn't play otherwise since the game was completely frozen.
