MrGanny
I hope this idea can go through. Why only Paris can hit multiple units?Sniping weapons like Vulkar, Snipetron and etc should also have this.Vulkar with only 4 shot can only kill 4 out of 20. At least make 1 shot can multi hit at least 3 enemy and the damage reduced each time it passes through an enemy.Example, base 100 dmg hit the first enemy take 100 dmg. after the first enemy unit reduce 20% damage. so if the bullet hit the 2nd enemy unit behind the first enemy. It take 80 dmg.At least this make sniping weapons better in combat rather than 1v1.This is just an idea. I hope I dint offend anybody. If I do so, please forgive me.I just want to have a good sniping weapons.Thx for reading this.
Fatalityyy
Sounds Pretty nice to me, also because it really would make the sniper very usefull then, and it will not be OP if the Damage reduction is made right.
VileRocK
THE OGRIS. + Always Pinpoint accurate + Will kill EVERYTHING it touches (including yourself) + Multitarget. Can even easily kill things which are behind cover with splash dmg. - Slow projectile speed (made up with splash dmg though). - You have to use it as a sniper because it will kill you in CCB. VileRocK
To actually answer your question, the main issue is that Sniping doesn't really match any of the modes in the game, except for possibly Defence and Mobile Defence. It's a fast pace room-to-room game, so the sniper rarely has a chance to shine over other weapons, even if it had penetration
Karma_Ghost
Paris doesn't penetrate targets. The rag doll effect caused by the arrow (the flying body) is what causes enemies behind your initial target to take damage. You can see a similar effect with other bolt weapons. Puncture mods (metal auger, seeking force, seeker) can be used on non-bolt to hit multiple targets in a line.
