-BM-Mitz Posted September 3, 2016 Share Posted September 3, 2016 A lot of people think crits are unrivaled amongst current weapons in the game so why not give some purpose for the others? My idea is objects. You can't crit on proc on them, just raw damage hurts them. In devstreams, when showing off the upcoming tileset change for Sedna, we saw some cool looking turrets popping out and I thought that it's a great idea to add more object-based hazards on various maps that crit weapons will struggle on like landslide blockades and such. We can even make them weak to blast damage as blast currently is one of the most underused elements from what I've heard amongst players I've ran with recently. Spergin_McBadposter Posted September 3, 2016 Share Posted September 3, 2016 I don't think they intended to use object-health as a balancing mechanism for crits. It's just a weird type of health that they already had for loot containers and it got reused for new things that aren't real enemies. Status weapons aren't very strong against object-health either, with the exception of tigris prime which is powerful even in straight damage builds.
