Displays on ship low res

Just want to say, loving the new fan art added recently 

 

But some like the left are noticeably way lower res (left) than others (right)

Is this an issue with the original artist having a low res fan-art or is this an issue with the developers accidentally putting lower-res photos in-game?

 

Just in case someone was curious, changing settings from lowest, to absolute max does not affect the res of the photos (that I've noticed). But I have noticed they start out low res from a distance (Like over 5 steps away) but get higher res as you get closer (under 5 steps)
