No, not really. Your Warframe is just basically what you'll use to get higher kills, get your defenses out or help your teammates.

Your guns, however, will help you put out waves of enemies. Any gun does that job well.

its the case for every frame. rhino and frost are quoted as being good for melee due to their armor and shields.

but honestly you can use whatever you want. take a wep that suits what you are fighting.

I heard that his slash dash damage is based on his melee weapon, so I run him with heavy weapons that have higher damage. My suggestion for everything melee though is usually the Orthos. :p

This is absolutely false.

 

Slash Dash does a set amount of damage based on Enemy Type and Rank of the Slash Dash Mod, and I think (not sure on this) that it is modified by Power Strength (Focus).

 

You can use a Skana, or Scindo and you'll get the same 1500 on lesser infested with Rank3 Slash Dash.

 

Another myth concerning Slash Dash:

 

Slash Dash does not give Melee Weapon XP, nor does it give credit for Swordsman (melee kill mini-challenge).
