That first boss battle once you go back to the place [spoilers]

So, it took me a really long time to figure out the fight against the Kuva Guards once you return to the Queens' chamber. I figured out stunning them easily enough, but I couldn't figure out what to do next. For anyone still stuck there, once they're stunned, I figured out that using my operator's teleport thingy would make them drop their staff, at which point I could jump into my Warframe and tear them up in melee.

I still have no idea if there's any other way to do it (can the Warframe's bullet jump make them drop their staff? Can you shoot 'em up with the operator's Void beam?), since I was kinda focused on using my final revive to do what I knew worked. If anybody has any tips, feel free to share them.
