How to build for the Index?

Hey guys, I just played a couple rounds of the Index preview for the first time and noticed something weird. I went in with Valkyr who has tons of health and not much shields, but it seemed to lock in both at 350. So it makes me wonder what actually effects your stats and how should I optimize for this event. Do your armor and energy stats get locked too? What kind of builds do you all use? I'm assuming magnetic damage on weapons, but what else? I know its not too hard, but it would be nice to be able to dominate everything in there to make the mod farming go faster.

The best way to survive in index is to play rhino with a high strength & efficiency build and to use iron skin. Simply because iron skin isn't affected by the index points.

Personally I just went in with a rhino or trinity EV and used a tigris, but for long endurance you need more damage than that.

I recommend Corrosive on Index Mission 1 and Magnetic on mission two. There is a lot of armor on the weaker members and a lot of shields on the higher levels. A mix of both would also be insanely effective as they are very tough at Index 2

Ok thanks, but does beefing up your armor do any good in there, or is it a set value like health and shields?

From what I could test the armor can be beefed up. If you plan to go far on the endurance, go with Rhino Iron Skin, Ivara with CL Dagger, Fatal Teport Ash, etc...
