Enslaved, Infested, Dissected, Traitor Warframes

Instead of releasing new warframes with redundant concepts, I think you should go the way you did with the weapons. Like with Prisma, Wraith, Dex, etc versions of weapons you should make Enslaved (grineer), Infested (infestation), Dissected (Corpus), and Traitor (Sentients) versions of each warframe.  But instead of just having better stats and polarity like the Prime frames, Give them new abilities, or tweaked abilities (along the lines of augment mods, but in themes that fundamentally change how each frame plays and/or the role it serves).

Also I had an idea for new upgrades.  Sacrifice one of your 4 abilities to gain additional mod slots.  Call it "Re-routing" your warframe, or specialization or something.  So a rank 30 warframe with a special item of some sort to unlock em, would allow you to unlock one of 4 additional mod slots, alot like the "exilus" mods/slots.  1 2 3 4, but depending on which of the new mod slots you fill with mods, would silence or remove your ability to use that corresponding spell/ability in mission.  This way we could build for a specific ability, at the cost of versatility.

Maybe make the "Re-routed" or "Conversion" slots on the frame have Augment polarities or be Augment only slots, and create 2 new augment mods per ability.  So you could add 3 effects to each one of your 4 abilities, at the cost of sacrificing your ability to cast the other abilities in mission, like when your warframe is unranked or under a negation field.

Perhaps these 2 ideas go hand in hand, and only the Enslaved, Infested, Dissected, or Traitor (sentient) warframes have these "re-routed"/"Conversion" slots, and the augment mods for the abilities are faction specific?

This also provides alot of opportunity for lore, story-telling, new enemies, and other content.

Instead of redundant concepts you propose redundant rehashes. Besides, we will get Umbra warframes eventually, which might or might nof follow your concept in one way or another.

The second idea sounds somewhat interesting, but it might get overpowered. There are a few useless abilities, so you would sacrifice virtually nothing for additional slots with certain frames.

The idea is to cut down on development time.  Creating a whole new concept from scratch for a new warframe, and the modeling of it, is alot more time consuming than adding a new Infested, Grineer, Corpus, Sentient themed skin based off the existing art resources and tweaking the abilities to combo in a new way. Plus, For every new warframe, that's another stance, grip, and animation adjustments they have to make to ensure it's not clipping terribly and looking crumby and broken. Each new warframe increases the difficulty of implementing any new weapon or other content.

Also, the 2 new augment mods per ability would make each fully augmented ability it's own combo, role-filler, and thus not useless.  Thats the whole idea behind it.

I just had a thought.  Maybe instead of entirely new frames, the items you need to unlock the new additional slots are faction oriented (infested, grineer, corpus, sentient).  And when you have something equipped into that slot it adds a cosmetic attachment to your warframe that kind of converts it into looking like an infested, enslaved, dissected, or traitor type frame.  Unique to the frame or perhaps unique to which of the 4 abilities you choose to re-route to.

This would open up an opportunity to "reverse-engineer" or "adapt" infested biology, grineer mechanisms, corpus tech, or sentient software to improve upon or specialize your tenno/orokin tech. Better fitting into the lore and dojo labs that already exist.
