Grineer damage works on void?

does grineer damage work on those that spaws in fissure missions and regular enemies in the void or do they not?

void enemies are very powerfull armor and having grineer bonus damage not working is making it rather hard to not use a OP weapon like tonkor and bows or snipers.

I'm fairly sure it works on the ones who transform but not the ones who spawn from the fissure.

I haven't fully tested this though. I'm curious if anyone has put time into fully testing this.

In the past I mostly give up on my Primary weapon by lvl 80 and swap to secondary or melee so I've never had much need to fully test it.

Snipers are not OP.

Is it possible that the different faction bonus damages apply to just the Corrupted that had been that faction?  Meaning, maybe bonus damage against Grineer also applies bonus damage to Corrupted Grineer, but not the other Corrupted.
