Gorgon Or Grataka

Basically, I'm looking at getting one or the other, just for the best solo boss clear times. I've heard great things about both, so I figured I'd get the communities opinion on the weapons beforehand. I should note that I dont have multishot ATM, so if that factors in at all, let me know. What's your opinion?

Gorgon, no question. The pitiful base damage on the Grakata and its terrible ammo economy makes it fall way behind.

I went with the Grakata because it doesn't have a spinup time.

Maxed Speed Trigger on the Gorgon makes the spin-up time almost a non-issue though.

I wouldn't count the Grakata down and out. Update 9 is coming, and as much as the Grakata gets mentioned on the forums I'd be shocked if it doesn't get looked at! However, for boss killing I'd still recommend the Gorgon. It depends on what kind of gun you are looking for. A gatling style gun with a spin up time (Gorgon) or a compact high-recoil SMG (Grakata.) Both of these weapons require heavy modding before you get to see their true potential. Grakata has style points for being rarer, though Gorgon takes the cake for effectiveness.

That said, if you're looking into boss killing Vipers fit that role excellently too. They are my go-to for speed runs.
