Reach/Prime Reach on Glaives and throwing weapons

I just got the Orvius, have the certa, and am aiming for the glaive prime - so I wanted to delve more into modding them.

Looking online, I couldn't find any recent info about reach and glaives. I last saw "reach affects the swing range of melee attacks" and not range. Is this still true? And is it worth modding for on any throwing melee

The distance a throwing melee weapon travels is determined by its flight speed, not by its range.

Range only effects the melee attack hit box and maybe the width of the hitbox when thrown (very not sure about the latter because I think the hit box is pin-point width always).
