"The New Strange" Quest Has MAJOR Bugs

Bug Occured: Dec 23, 2016.

Edit: As I can see, the only way this can be fixed is to have it restarted by a DE, but this is annoying. The DE seriously need to address this as a serious thing. Excuse my language, but come on, they should fix this MAJOR bug instead of fixing every damn pixel of Nidus. Seriously DE, I'm annoyed..

 

While playing the quest "The New Strange", some major glitches happened. So sit back, this is gonna be a long one.

After completing the Europa junction and starting the quest "The New Strange", I completed the mission on Ares, then talked to Cephalon Simaris, then crafted the Scorched Beacon. This is where stuff started to go haywire. After Ordis had said "This beacon sent off some kind of signal" he repeated the phrase that he said at the beggining, he said "Operator, I wonder what Cephalon Simaris is like! I've heard so many great things!". At first I had assumed that this was a result of the "signal", maybe giving Ordis amnesia. Then, he said it again, and again. Then a quest mission alert popped up for the mission "Investigate the source of the transmission" so I went to my navigation and tried to click on it. I clicked on it and it didn't work. When I exited out of navigation, it started playing the conversation that would have happened when I beat the mission. I also recieved no blueprint for the Chroma Signal. When the dialog was done and the next mission alert popped up, the same thing happened. The same thing happened for the entire quest, including Ordis repeating that line, and I didn't get to fight Chroma and didn't get his BPs. While this doesn't bother me that much, it still would have been nice. When the screen popped up that said quest complete, I figured restarting my game would fix it.

When I restarted my game, my Codex said the quest was complete but when I clicked on it, it said that I had only completed missions through Ares (meaning it left me off at the mission where I talk to Cephalon Simaris), which doesn't make sense. When I went to the Saturn Junction the box saying "Complete Quest: The New Strange" was checked oddly enough. What's even weirder is that I could set that as my active quest, but when I tried to talk to Cephalon Simaris, there was no quest dialog like there had been. And yes, I still had the Scorched Beacon in my inventory. There was no dialog from Ordis or Lotus, except for their normal stuff, and nothing from Simaris. Also I did receive the mail from Simaris.

This is one of the weirdest glitches I have ever seen. Any fixes? Please let me know.

 

- Side Note Bug: Half of the time, the Elite Arid Lancer synthesis targets were stuck in a wall or an unaccessable building.

i have the exact same problem starting from the chroma signal part since it repeats the transaction and says i crafted it even though i never did

Same problem, i have finished the quest but did not received any blueprints.

I have the exact same issue with "The New Strange" quest.

I was doing the quest, I got to the 'Investigate the signal' portion (where you get the blue print to create the Chroma Signal). I had the wrong frame so left the mission to change, but the game progressed onto the next portion of the quest, without awarding me the Chroma Signal Blueprint. I cannot progress through the game until I receive one.

I really hope this is worked out soon, I love this game!

Im having a similar bug

The difference being that im unable to craft the chroma mark (idk its name) because it never gave me the blueprint for the chroma signal even though i finished the mission that was supposed to give it

I hope devs fix that soon, i love the game but im tired of farming

God...! Me too either. I couldn't see any Chroma Signal blueprint anywhere.

Exact same thing here, completely bugs after crafting Scorched Beacon.
