Hate to double post but my Saryn came hot off the Foundry today and I thought it would be a good point to bring her in before I'm off to bed. (my god...a female in my group of characters that isn't insane...what will the men do?)

___________

"Oooooh sweeeeeetheeeaaaarrrt!" Sandalphon called as he walked down one of the connecting corridors of the Dojo. The green-striped Excalibur Prime was looking for Khimera to, for the thousandth time in three days, ask for a date. It was such a frequent occurrence that Nova-Quinn no longer bothered trying to advocate the selling of tickets to the latest rejection. Peering around a pillar Sandals found exactly who he was looking for curled up trying to stay hidden. "There you are! Please, won't you at least-"

Shoving a hand into the Excal's face Khimera let out a low growl. "For what must be the kajillionth time...NO." He sent an electric shock into the Excalibur to make him back off a few steps before getting up, looking rather angry though not with Sandalphon it seemed.

"Surely there is something I can do to earn a courting audience with you, sweet Khimera." The chivalrous Tenno extended his hand, trying to not think about how numb his left side felt right now. It was his firm belief he was developing a resistance to these small shocks by now. "Is there no deed I can do to impress you?" This time Sandalphon sounded legitimately upset at the rejection.

Hesitating, Khi tapped his chin and tilted his head, making several Tenno actually stop what they were doing just to listen to the response. Turning about Khimera inspected the current loadout that Sandals was sporting: Galatine, Dual Zorens, and a Heat Dagger. Nodding to himself, a malicious grin came to the Volt's lips inside his helmet. "Fine...if you can with a match wielding a Galatine one-handed I will CONSIDER going on a date with you. If you lose you must be Nova-Quinn's escort for the next five missions of her choice."

Sandalphon, along with the listening Tenno, cringed at the punishment. Nova-Quinn tended to pick missions because they sounded fun or interesting...which rarely worked well for her companions as she would just go off looking for shiny things. Still, for the Excal Prime it was worth the risk. "Done! I will train until I am strong enough to protect you with my strongest blade one-handed!" He said, sprinting off to the training room to get started with his task.

Shaking his head, Khimera turned about only to have a folder pressed to his chest by a familiar blue hand. "Oh...hello Crowley." Raising an eyebrow behind his helmet, the Volt looked down at the folder. "How archaic...new mission?"

"Resume, Initiate-Trainee, too busy to deal with the job. You do it." Crowley spoke swiftly before gliding past his friend to go off on his own self-imposed mission leaving Khimera quite in shock.

"I...ah...uh...WHAT?!" He shouted after Crowley before looking down at the dossier with distaste. "I am NOT a babysitter...what makes him think I'm the guy for the job of training someone...isn't taking care of NQ enough trouble for everyone?" Sighing, Khi knew he couldn't win on this one. He owed Crowley at least this much, especially with all that had been piled on the blue-clad Nekros lately. Thinking on it, he wondered if he could convince Nova-Quinn to help throw a party for the old Tenno. They had no idea when his birthday was but it'd be nice to start while they had time to. Filing that idea away for another time Khimera opened up the folder, shuffling the papers around in it to get them nice and neat as he started on his way back to his room.

----

Trainee Name: Issachar [issa] Valbaern

Gender: Female

Rank: Disciple to [Lost Cell]

Chosen Warframe: Saryn

Skill Level: Exceptional

Talent: Adaptive Combat

----

Reading over the rest, Khimera began to feel fairly impressed that such a Trainee had been bequeathed unto his rather bizarre Cell, and she would provide a wonderful distraction from Sandalphon, not to mention a billion excuses to not go dating at the moment. Hoping Issachar would be as great as her resume describes, Khi touched the panel to open his door to find a purple-schemed Saryn wearing a Chlora helmet sitting politely in his desk chair.

"Greetings. I am Issachar Valbaern, I hope I have not chosen a poor time to make myself known. I was told by Crowley Sensei I should wait in this room for Khimera Sensei to come and train me." She had a slight accent to her voice that could not be placed just from hearing her speak for the first time but it was clear she was brought up to be polite and well-behaved in all situations. Her demeanor was one who came from a noble lineage, though Khimera didn't know where the name was from to show proper respect to it.

"Ah...right." Setting the folder aside, Khi folded his arms and started to think. "Well...aaahhhh...oh crap I gotta see him if I go there..." He mumbled to himself, putting a hand over his face. "Guh...okay, okay, it's fine. We'll uh...we'll go to the training room I suppose...what kind of weapons do you favor?"

Standing up, Issa brought herself just two feet from her sensei and bowed her head in respect. "I have been taught to use the Kama and Lato. I was not given permission to wield primary weaponry as an initiate because I did not handle recoil well."

"First on the checklist...primary weapons...got it." Sighing, Khimera left with Issachar in tow, already feeling the stares.

Ajkrumen.... Yeah, I don't see it.

Edit: Let's all just assume that everyone is assigned names when Initiated, and the real names just fell by the wayside, or something. Or not; your characters might remember their real name. Your choice. Or, we could also assume than in the future, space ninjas don't have last names. I mean the Grineer and Corpus do.

What a nice fact to point out...but then, where do we get new initiates from? I speculate some of the initiates come from civilian colonies of the corpus, as I highly doubt the grineer are anything but a military force by now. Another possibility is there are just regular populations out there that are unfactioned or even corpus agents who have come to despise their own faction (Which could make for interesting Vauban backstories if you think about it) in some form.

Regardless, The 'new generation' Initiates and Trainees could come with names which link them to noble houses from the Orokin era or simply because they came from a colony.

Edit: Also, Crowley before he made his hair nice and straight.

That's exactly how I pictured Crowley unmasked. That's awesome, dude. I like to think that there are some colonies of humans on Mercury holding out against Grineer oppression. Obviously, this won't be the only source of recruits but it could be a nice start. It's where Heus was from. Also, how would they find us? We're supposed to be some in-the-dark splinter cell organization. Do we find suitable candidates ourselves?

Also, is that Lunasos on his back?
