Spy Drone Extermination Event Feedback

Few suggestion for the event under going right now and for possible future events.

 

1. No team work expected by current event configuration.

You can farm drones FAR more efficiently by going solo instead of taking your team to the raid.

This is really demotivating for team players and constant teams.  

 

1. No Clan work implemented.

Instead of going global countdown for the drone destruction it could be divided into several tiers.

For example:

-If a clan consisting of 100 people kills 5000 drones, it’ll get a free lab or painting for a dojo decoration or so on. / one member should kill no less than 50 drones

-If a clan consisting of 10 people kills 500 drones, it’ll get the same reward.

 / one member should kill no less than 30 drones

(this is just an example)

 

This is just behind global count down, for clan play motivation.

 

1. No platinum item and company profit from this event.

Special Drone Detector item or mod could be carried out for those ready to pay for more effective way to farm drones.

This item could also get some random drop chance from any Grineer  Boss in order to be free in the game.

That would just make it pay-to-win, how could any free player hope to get on the top 100 leader boards?

In my opinion such an event should  also have a ladder like the normal kill-stats, so you can see on which place you are and how far away you are from the top 100.

I do agree with the lack of Teamwork (or, shall we say, the exact opposite, where you are PUNISHED for being in a Team) when trying to get your Snipetron Vandal.

 

You definitely don't want to PUG this.

 

If you have your 20 kills (which really doesn't take long), you CAN do it with Clan Members as it shouldn't matter WHO gets the kill, as long as everyone in the group is from the same Clan (again, this heavily punishes PUGs).

 

HOWEVER, there's also the Mod that the top 100 players get which also discourages both PUGs and Clan Teams.

 

Basically, this event is SOLO-ONRY unless you don't mind foregoing the Primed Chamber Mod and have a clan to farm these with once you get your own personal 20 kills.

 

This much, I agree with.

 

As for the Platinum Purchases, they added the Vulkar pack (which is kinda weak, it is basically just a Vulkar + boosters). Most likely you'd have to actually grind the Vulkar up before you can kill drones of any high level (this event doesn't give you very much time to do so, even with Affinity Booster).

 

As for a bot detector... I'm against that idea, because it makes it way too easy for platinum buyers to get an edge over non-platinum buyers in a direct competition (the Primed Chamber Mod).

 

So, recap:

 

1). The "Kills" Should be applied Team-wide to encourage people to group up and take these on as a team.

2). The Vulkar Pack could have been better. It could have maybe been Vulkar + Glaive or maybe Vulkar + Serration + Piercing Hit + Affinity Booster or something of that nature.

 

As far as the Countdown, I don't have anything against a Global Countdown. It makes sense Lorewise -- the Grineer made "a million" (I wouldn't be surprised if the exact number of these the event wants us to kill is exactly 1,000,000) drones, and they need to be killed. You, Your Clan, ALL Tenno need to kill these things to avert the threat.

 

The Global Countdown/Progress Meter makes sense.
