Crouch function altered/broken

Prior to the update with Nidus the crouch function would allow me to quick toggle or hold freely at will, now if I tap it, I auto roll. I feel crippled by the fact that I have to choose between mobilty and stealth with the "toggle" in the options. I can try and explain better if you do not understand the issue, bit it is making it harder to play the game.
