Teshin Glyph

So my friend had the Teshin glyph, he didn't have the game around the time of the update and so he said it was just given to all the players who had accounts probably, I do not have the glyph even though I made my account before the update.

Could someone explain to me if there is a reason I don't have it and my friend does?

The Glyph was specifically given through code and was available through the weekend after the launch of War Within. Chances are he used the code and you missed out on it.
