2 questions about riven rerolling

Qestion 1:

If I decide to max out a riven mod and then reroll it, will it still be maxed out or will It revert to rank 0?

 

Qestion 2:

If I reroll a riven, are the new stats completely random, or are they somehow "tied" to the previous ones? For example if I have now "reload speed, magazine capacity, zoom" is it possible to get "crit, status, etc" from such a riven? (I'm asking cause I tried to reroll it 5 times and I keep getting almost identical stats)

1. yes, they stay maxed

2. all stats are RNG

Answer 1: It will still be maxed out.  It will retain whatever level you're ranked it to.

Answer 2: The new stats are random and not tied in any way to your previous roll results.
