Rather than remove a feature "artifacts," they could have kept it as is, left it in the alert system and you could level it that way but it stil should be a free slot.

 

Another group of mods wasting space now in the mod ui I guess is the better option.  Worst decision of this update, when it was talked about in the stream I had a feeling they would just add yet another feature into grind system.

 

Before this update, artifacts were the only drop in game that you received as a drop that was fully functional and operation once you equiped.  Now flop it into the mod grind and make folks pay (mod points) for it.  So it either makes another slot in your loadout be dropped or you will never load this special limited slot now since you do not have points. Worthless imo, doing the alerts for the artifacts meant crap now.

Bad move on the artifacts and nightmare mode imo, you should let people use Nightmare mode as a toggle now I see mastery 1 players getting slaughtered.
