How to tell more easilly you're in the rift?

Now that we "slide" into the rift with Limbo, is there an easier way to tell when you're in or not?  Maybe it's because I had a timer before, but I have all sorts of trouble figuring out if I'm in the rift or not.  I tried changing energy color but that didn't help at all.  Cataclysm is fine, that's easy to see.  My graphics are all maxed out.

Umm... don't you get a loud rifty noise the entire time you're in the rift? And you've got a constant white overlay ontop of that.

I do get the sound, but I don't notice the white overlay x.x

You only have the white overlay if you have Color correction on in display settings.
